Web Sites

There is so much information on the Web, you could sit for days searching and then reading.  We are still finding many excellent informational sites.  As we find them, we will list them.  Presently some of our favorite web sites are:

Info Dog boasting a terrific amount of information from show entries and fancier products to discussion forums and rescue organizations.

It is a goal of Therapy Dogs Inc. to help dog owners use their dogs for therapy work in various places such as nursing homes, hospitals and schools, as well as work with the mentally and physically handicapped. The objective is to form a network of caring individuals who are willing to share their special animals in order to bring happiness and cheer to people who need something to hold and love. Pet visits often trigger memories of animals they use to own. The regular visits also give nursing home residents something to look forward to. Dogs have been effective in reaching people and children who have withdrawn from the world. All dogs, purebred and mixed breeds are welcome

The intention of The Show Dog Super Site is to provide a web site which is as attractive to AKC, CKC, and International Dog Show Judges, Exhibitors and Breeders.

Pro Dog Networks has information and links and is dedicated to a "more responsible world of dogs through information".

The Canine Chronicle online is a site containing editorials, top 20 dogs, statistics on dogs and more.

The AKC Annually licensed Superintendent, Jack Onofrio, has produced a great site titled Onofrio Dog Shows.  You can find information on future, present, and past Shows, dog clubs and even participate in discussion forms.

The world's Greatest Dog Show is Crufts held in Birmingham, UK.  A very nice site to wander in.

Vet Info is a veterinary information service.  You can discover a tremendous amount of information just reading their canine encyclopedia!

Sirius Dog is a guide to hereditary and congenital diseases in dogs published by the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights.

Dog Advisors is a website focused on the breeder community.

Canine Eye Registration Foundation or CERF for short is a foundation dedicated to helping eliminate canine eye diseases and problems by registering those dogs whose eyes are certified clear by a doggie eye doctor.

Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or OFA for short is a foundation for registering those dogs certified clear of hip and elbow dysplasia.

Doctors Foster & Smith have a terrific site filled with much information on pet education.  They also have reasonable prices on supplies that you can order online.

The following are two links to two different sites on the net.  Both list 100 top dogs sites. The first is Topdog top sites and the second is PetPro top sites.  There are many "top site lists", with numerous other animals and who knows what else, so if you want to see the list of them all go to Top Site Lists.

Bird Dog Training Resources on the Web  is a great site for all those interested in hunting.  Not only does it have readily available information but it will lead you to various interesting hunting places.

Two more great hunting sites are NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) and NSTRA (National Shoot to Retrieve Association).  Check these out for your hunting pleasure!
